FINALLY there is a Distortion Pedal with PLENTY of Gain, great EQ, Amazing Tone (For all types of Guitars) and the cherry on top, the Noise Gate, it alone is worth the cost of the pedal. The Gain & Tone can capture anything from a Fender Twin to your modern High Gain EVH Style amps along with making a Strat sound HUGE or a 8-String or Baritone Djent and CHUG. I found the Modern & Vintage switch works great when bouncing between a SSS Pickup configuration to a Humbucker setup (HH, HSS, HSH or single H), just depends on the amount of Bass EQ is in your pickups & amp setup and obviously what tuning you are using. The Boost is another Bonus, it will give your Solo that push of Volume needed to jump above your rhythm volume therefore with this pedal you can remove your Noise Gate Pedal & Boost Pedal. I have owned pretty much every Distortion pedal made and only a few I ended up keeping for different tones however this one should be added to everyone's Pedal Board. I have it setup on my Fly-Rig and intend to get another one because I did some testing and you can run (2) Thump's together! Set #1 Thump Pedal with lighter Gain and Set #2 with more Gain which give me the Fender Twin Tone and a 5150/5153 Tone when running both plus you get a secondary boost and noise gate as a bonus especially for the cost, you cannot go wrong! I used this for recording and live, it's tone is consistent and I can't say anything negative about it aside from why wasn't this in our hands years ago?! I rarely fill out these reviews but this pedal is one Guitarists and even Bass players need to have therefore I wanted to share my experience. Thank you Sonicake!
