I was expecting this to be good but not THIS good. I have some very high end pedals on my board and quite often, this sounds better than them all. The OD settings are very organic, transparent ans open sounding. It lets the jangle & sparkle through without getting overly compressed. The Boost is a nice, sparkly boost, the Dist. Setting is creamy and smooth like a proper distortion,
but the OD setting is where it shines. It lets more of that chimey, sparkly jangle through where other pedals do not. It feels a lot like a Morning Glory or a very refined circuit..
This is a one stop gain pedal, it sounds corny, but it can act as your whole gain section.
. Use one channel for your base edge of breakup tone, and stack it w the second channel for heavy choruses or solos.. Sonicake seems to top themselves every year, This is by far the best gain pedal I’ve tried by Sonicake. It shines at any price. Totally quiet and that gorgeous uncompressed tone is so hard to find at this price point,
The KOT style circuit is a really common thing already, but the way Sonicake did it, with the Presence Control and really intuitive changes between OD, Boost and Dist, it got simply PERFECT! It is a MUST HAVE pedal, and honestly, it has became my "always on" drive. Well done Sonicake!
